Over the past 10 years, 96 percent of Newman graduates who successfully completed the university’s pre-med program and received a positive recommendation from Newman’s Pre-medical Committee have been accepted into medical schools.
We have the third-most students accepted into KU Scholars in Rural Health Program, which admits undergraduates into medical school after sophomore year.
The pre-medicine program at our prestigious private university is designed to give you the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to enter med school.
A number of our students receive acceptance to medical school the summer going into senior year, one year before graduation, through the Early Decision Program (EDP) at the University of Kansas.

With one-on-one attention from our faculty and the opportunity to shadow anywhere from 100-200 hours, you will gain a better understanding of your chosen medical field.
